Help with CUTDATA

How to start?
First follow the three step directions displayed on the screen. Which ask you to select a Machining Process, Work-Piece Material, and finally the information about the cut. Detailed instructions for each of these steps are given below:
Step 1: How to select a Machining Process? To select a machining process you need to go to the far left

Once you find a process that you like highlight it by clicking the left mouse button only once then move to selecting a work-piece.
Step 2: How to select a specific material? Next, select the specific material for which you want machining data. Click on the "Search All Materials" button. In this exercise, we will search for 1020. To find it type 1020 in the Identifier field and click the find materials button.

Scroll to the desired material hardness and condition, single-click it to select it and press ok. Note: You can also search for materials by using either the "family", "Condition", or "Process" methods and pressing "find material" to display the materials in the database. To clear the search, click the "clear form" button.
Step 3: To select tool Material?
Input information about the cut including selecting a tool material and dimensions of the cut. Click the text box's down arrow, which always starts out with the default High Speed Steel-Solid-Uncoated.

How to input the hole diameter?
This field is located right below the selection process for tool material. Type a 1 (for a depth of 1 inch; we are currently set to use English units instead of metric. The text box right next to it however shows the type unit used. You can just click the down arrow to change from inches to millimeters).
How to change inches to millimeters?
Right next to the hole diameter and depth of hole is a text box that has inches written in it. Just click the down button to select MM.
How to add a favorite material?

How to make a nickname for your favorite material?
Once you have gone through the process of adding your favorite material to your list, now you can change its name. Right next to the search materials button located below the step two: work-piece material, is the button to click to edit the name you want to call the material. Once you have selected this button it will ask you to choose which material you want to change the name. Once you highlight the name you will be able to type in a text box the nickname that you wish to call this material, and just click ok.

What do the different colors signify?
To help differentiate user-specific Speed/Feed data from the CUTDATA standard data, differently colored background is used. The background for user specific Speed/Feed data is red, while the background color for the default Speed/Feed data is displayed in blue.
Difference Between Standard versus Machine Settings?
The units for speed have been in FPM (feet per minute) and the units for feed have been in IPR (inches per revolution) or IPT (inches per tooth), depending on the operation selected. These are standard units. CUTDATA allows you to switch to machine units (speeds in RPM and feeds in IPM).
What is Tool Geometry?
To view the Tool Geometry for a certain Speed/Feed record, place the cursor in the row of the desired record, then select the Tool Geometry option in the Data menu to display the read-only Tool Geometry detail window below. Press the X to return to the CUTDATA window.

Can I change the selected data to obtain the optimism horsepower?
Yes, you can change the speeds and/or feeds to obtain a desired MRR(metal removal rate) and horsepower by clicking the next to the speeds or feeds displayed on the right half of the screen. Once you do this, you will notice that the power and MRR are quickly recalculated reflecting the change. This functionality is provided to give you a quick method to determine the optimum speed and feed, so you can maximize productivity. Also you will notice that the data now has a red background. Don't be alarmed, it just shows that you began to change the data.
What are Notes?
The notes at the bottom of the calculations give you a description of the speed that you should run the machine and material to if you decide to increase the feed or speed.
